Yes, DirectPay is a secure payment method. You are taken from the merchant’s checkout page directly to an Interac page where you then select your bank. From there, you log in to your bank account using the bank’s secure login page to complete the payment with Interac e-Transfer. Both DirectPay and the merchant you are purchasing from will never have access to your bank credentials, even temporarily.
